Ducati Corse 2 Helmet
Ducati has joined forces with Arai and Aldo Drudi, the creative force behind Valentino Rossi’s helmet designs, to produce one of the most advanced and beautifully crafted helmets for the motorcycling community. The shell of the helmet is made up of CFC carbon fiber and reinforced with Zylon. The outer shell is also reinforced with the “Peripherally Belted” construction, a patented fiber reinforcement band that disperses impact energy through the entirety of the shell, while also allowing for thinner padding because of the added structural integrity of the shell. Each shell is made up of eleven layers that are assembled by hand, which takes about a day per helmet.
The Corse Carbon 2 comes with emergency release cheek pads, allowing the cheek pads and neck roll to be removed in seconds by the pull of a release tab. The helmet also features enhanced aerodynamics, including a diffuser for high speed stability and drag, and an improved ventilation system.
